Roomba video hack


What to do with those old X-10 video cameras sitting in the closet? Build a wireless Roomba video cam, of course, and view the vacuuming action from floor level. Camera is powered by Roomba battery, transmits analog video to the TV. A simple hack.
Solar pendulum
A solar-powered pendulum, using a clever circuit from Junkbots, Bugbots and Bots on Wheels, by Dave Hrynkiw and Mark Tilden. Coil from an old disc drive, frame is copper tubing.
BEAM Creatures


Another BEAM device, a solar-powered bug. LEDs function as light sensors, with two small motors directing the bug to move toward the light source.


This BLFNAR (Blinking Light For No Apparent Reason) sits on the dashboard charging during the day and flashes a red LED at night.
